The arrival of Advent

This Sunday begins a new church year with Advent.  More than just changing the color to blue and adding our Advent wreath, this time is about expectation, preparing and waiting.  It is also a time when life gets busier and time contracts so that it seems like we don't have the time to do everything.

God offers us Sabbath moments amidst the frenzy of activity - some times, it is just stopping to take a breath before plunging ahead.  Other times, it is spending a moment in prayer and reflection, worship and fellowship in our community  of faith.

Here are a couple of opportunities:
1) Advent Devotional - we once again put together our own with contributions from congregation members as well as other Lutheran pastors and leaders.  Hard copies will be available to be picked up or you can find them daily here on our Trinity blog.

2) Advent activities: Each week, during coffee hour in Fellowship Hall, there will be a variety of activities to participate in and/or to take home.  There will be a large coloring page, a Christmas puzzle, word puzzles, crafts and more.
This Sunday, our Sunday School will be having their Advent event - so make sure that you check out some of their activities in Fellowship Hall
