The light of the world

and healed
and loved
the world that rejected him
betrayed
denied
abandoned
Darkness descended
and our eyes adjusted
seeing ourselves
and the world
in a new way
with the nuances of shadows
shading
texture
dimensions
Darkness descended
blanketing us with grace
lovingly enfolding
mercifully cleansing
Darkness awaits
the dawn of new life
love resurrected
Messiah revealed
